I suck at blogging.
I started about 2 years ago and then stopped, and then posted once a year later and stopped again. I don't even know why I feel like I should blog, but I love reading everyone else's blogs, so I kind of feel like I should blog too...?? I dunno.
We're all on facebook and myspace anyway, so I'm sure anyone who wants to know already knows what there is to know about me...oh well.
I'm going to try not to use this as a bitch-blog, but hopefully more of a daily (or weekly!) account of what's going on.
So an update since my last post one year ago: I've been working for the same company (Unconventional Planning) and it's been going really well. I travel quite a bit which is nice because I get to see places I would never visit otherwise. I like my job mostly because of how it's broken down into manageable projects with a clear start and end date to it. I also like it because I can always see how my hard work turns out.
Mat has changed jobs since my last post. He's no longer working for DoveTale Collections but rather for Ramius which is a hi-tech company here in Ottawa. He really likes (loves?) his job too.
We now have two doggies: Oscar who's 1 1/2 years old and Bonnie who's 6 months old. I love them to pieces and they are the single most effective de-stressor ever. If you don't have a dog (or a cat........i guess...) it's hard to imagine the feeling you get when you come home from work and are greeted by two adorable little pets who want nothing else but to love you and cuddle you as soon as you walk in the door. Just watching tv with them or walking them relives enormous amounts of stress. I am definitely a much happier person since we've had our two doggies.
Mat and I are currently looking to buy a house. We have been pre-approved for a mortgage, so now it's just a matter of deciding on where we want to live and then finding that perfect house. I can't believe how far from downtown we're going to have to move. I never thought I would live in Barrhaven or Orleans, but this is reality. Anyway...there are so many pros and cons to each community, it's hard to decide which of those we are willing to scarifice. Obviously more to come on that in the future :)
Other than that, not much new (sadly). I hope that this is a good enough general overview of the past year.
Stayed tuned for more posts
